A prompt route to a GP for your clients

Tap GP is a CQC-registered private GP service. We work with therapy and counselling practices across the UK, so that when a client needs medical input alongside their therapeutic work, there is a straightforward place to send them.

Who this is for

Therapists, counsellors, psychologists and the practices they work in. Sometimes a client presents with something that would benefit from a medical assessment — symptoms worth ruling out, a second opinion, or a letter for an employer. Referring them should not be complicated.

How the pathway works

Seen within 24 hours, and usually the same day. Appointments are available in person or by video.
An outcome letter back, where the client consents. Their consent is what makes that sharing lawful, so we ask for it every time.
No charge to the practice for making a referral, and no fee is paid to the practice for referring. Any benefit goes to the client, never the referrer.
A named clinical contact you can reach about a shared client.

What your clients get

£40 off an initial assessment — £189 reduced to £149

The discount belongs to the client rather than being a fee to the practice. That distinction matters to us, and it is what keeps the arrangement the right side of GMC guidance on inducements.
